Thanks for your entries for The Gallery’s “Can you see what it is yet?” photo quiz.
The answers:
1. Casa Mila in Barcelona. Often known as La Pedrera (Catalan for ‘The Quarry), designed by Antoni Gaudi.
2. The new cupola in the Reichstag in Berlin, designed by Sir Norman Foster.
3. The Eiffel Tower, Paris
4. David, in Florence, by Michelangelo
The winner was Libby who correctly named the three cities and recognised David’s pride and joy.
No prizes but do pop over to Libby’s blog, D-scribes, have a read and leave her lots of congratulatory messages – she’ll like that.
Damn! Foiled again!
@Steve – yeah, sorry mate. You were close – Blackpool…Paris – same bit of wobbly meccano wherever it's plonked.
Damn! I missed a quiz – saves me right for not calling by often enough.
Having said that, I looked at the first photo and thought "that's a stiff one", likewise with the second photo. Thought quite the opposite on reaching the fourth photo.
@Troy – how remiss of you. I always have culture and smut on my posts in equal measure to attract a broad church.
Oh, I had them all correct but didn't get around to telling you….ahem ….::cough::
@Cate P – oh yeah? Course you did 😉
'ooooh'…squeal of delight….thanks Trish! I knew being sober sometimes on a city break would be useful one day!!
So when do you start the willy book….?
Like idea of it being a Christmas publication. Lots of tinsel twining, baubles tinkling and fairy lights a-dazzling. Little santa hats perched where possible and so on. I bet would raise thousands……
@Libby – clever girl!
@Sally – you seem to be the only one who has picked up on the enormous potential of my idea. Will you be my agent?
Sure…but only if I get the England Rugby Team.
