Late Entry for the Christmas Number One?

Trish Burgess Posted on14/12/201004/04/2017 17 Comments

Forgive me for reminiscing yet again about Rory when he was little, but I had to share this gem from our newly-converted DVDs of Rory as a little boy. Following on from his jigsaw session, here he is performing some Christmas songs for the camera. What a little show-off: just like his mother, don’t you think?!

The diction is interesting and the sheer silliness of the third song, where he seems to sing in a different accent and is accompanied by a milk-induced burp, makes me chuckle. Hope you enjoy the festive singing: you’ll need your volume on top whack though.

The Mad House – excellent idea, Jen.

Very Bored – he was a couple of months off his 3rd birthday. Looks like it was the same day as the jigsaw video as he has the same clothes on!

Sarah – You can hear us giggling in the background: we thought it was priceless.

That was so cute – now, be honest, does Rory know you've put him on your blog?!!! Could be in big trouble, Trish!

OMG that was gorgeous. Does he know this is on here?
And did he used to pronounce the ST blend as an F? Cal did. Strawberries were "foobies".

    slhastings – thank you!

Notestoself – have re-subscribed, thanks for letting me know.

Diney – he knew I was putting the jigsaw one on and was ok about it: I think he reckons it would be good to "go viral" on youtube. I must stop now: I'm turning into a "look at my wonderful child" blogger!!

Expat Mum – he used to pronounce lots of words wrong: I'll have to have a think about specific letter swiches. I do remember he pronounced spiders as "pie-hoos"!!
    I rather like foobies though!

How old is Rory now? That burp is sweet, but are you sure he didn't get into the eggnog?

Karla – Rory will be 15 in March. I used to wonder why my mum always used to say "It seems like yesterday" and now I know: time has flown.
Eggnog! So that's what was in the beaker!
