Here I am posing on the beach at Kenmore on Loch Tay last week. Husband has the camera and I’m trying to look natural even though I suspect I’ve just muttered to him to hurry up and take the bloody photo. Right on cue, son Rory leaps into the frame and…click…the button is pressed.
The result? The loon in the background is caught mid-leap, both feet off the ground.
A perfect photobomb, don’t you think?
The theme for this week’s Gallery is ‘happy‘. Take a look for more photos which today I guaranteeย will put a smile on your face.
Great picture Trish…..and the place looks lovely.
It was a gorgeous spot, Libby. There's more to come – we had a great time, as you can see!
Brilliant. One for the mantle!
I wish I hadn't deleted other photos which have had a grinning son in the frame. They would have made a super montage.
Gorgeous – I love it! Happened to me a few times in Bali. Why is it when you want them to be in the photo, they never want to be there, but once you've resigned yourself to them not being in the picture – then they pop in? Beautiful scenery, looks sunny and gorgeous. Needed a lift this afternoon – news is starting to get a little uncomfortable.
Yup, that's just the way it is with teenage boys. They do make me laugh though.
I was reading the news about North and South Korea – have been thinking about you.
Perfect indeed! Really made me laugh. xx
PS: my hubby would have been told off, though… Where are your feet??
You can see why he isn't given the camera very much!
Brilliant. If you had set out to take that photograph, it wouldn't have worked out! ๐
No, we would never have got him to do it properly or at the right time!
Perfect timing! Great picture ๐
Thank you. I knew as soon as the Gallery theme was announced that this would be my choice.
Oh, you must be doing something right, my kids always leapt or shrunk out of photos. "Yes, that's me, standing alone at the middle school graduation, I just like hanging around long boring un-airconditioned ceremonies because otherwise my life wouldn't have enough tedium. "
Haha!I think kids are naturally contrary, not wanting to pose when asked. Mind you, Rory has always been ok about it and was quite happy about me publishing this photo today.
It's a brilliant photo. Would be lovely without the photobomb, but photobomb makes it so much more. A happy teenage boy enjoying spending time with his parents?! Priceless. Just hope my boys will be the same at this age.
We had a lovely week, the three of us. He does roll his eyes from time to time but in the main he is not embarrassed to be seen with us.
love this it made me giggle ๐
Thanks Jaime, me too!
I love that! Priceless moments if you ask me.
This one will be treasured, that's for sure.
Great photo – couldn't have planned it better!
I don't quite know how he leapt so quickly into shot!
Got to love good photo bomb
I have a good one from our hols in Sweden last year but it was onlya foot which intruded.
love this – fab moment, looks like a beautiful place too x
It was gorgeous. In fact, just after this snap was taken, my hat and coat came off as I was too warm. Very lucky with the weather.
Fabulous shot and it really made me smile, perfect for a happy theme ๐
I still keep laughing every time I look at it. Glad you like it ๐
Photobomb indeed – a direct hit!
He's not usually that energetic. Very surprising.
What a fantastic photo of the two of you. It is amazing that on a loch 14 miles long how that sailor managed to photobomb his yacht into your photo. I may be wrong but I'm guessing he did it inadvertently – but who knows?
Ha! Maybe Rory was shouting at his dad to quickly take the photo before the damn yachting photobomber came into shot.
What an excellent shot. Of course you couldn't plan one like that. Great clicking hubby!
Dougie isn't good with cameras so this was quite a surprise.
So funny! Definitely one to frame, but don't crop Rory out.
No, he's definitely staying in this time ๐
Perfect timing!
Indeed! Couldn't believe we snapped him with feet in the air.
Great pic! And such a burst of energy from your son!! ๐
I know!! Where the hell did that come from?
That's a brilliant photo, what a laugh! You'll treasure this one ๐
Every time I come over here to reply to comments I keep smiling, looking at my daft lad!
Ha, excellent pic – who doesn't love a photobomb?!
Haha! Great photo, looks like something my boys would do too!
