The Gallery – Happiness is a Photobomb

Photobomb in Scotland

Here I am posing on the beach at Kenmore on Loch Tay last week. Husband has the camera and I’m trying to look natural even though I suspect I’ve just muttered to him to hurry up and take the bloody photo. Right on cue, son Rory leaps into the frame and…click…the button is pressed.

The result? The loon in the background is caught mid-leap, both feet off the ground.

A perfect photobomb, don’t you think?

The theme for this week’s Gallery is ‘happy‘. Take a look for more photos which today I guarantee will put a smile on your face.

It was a gorgeous spot, Libby. There's more to come – we had a great time, as you can see!

I wish I hadn't deleted other photos which have had a grinning son in the frame. They would have made a super montage.

Gorgeous – I love it! Happened to me a few times in Bali. Why is it when you want them to be in the photo, they never want to be there, but once you've resigned yourself to them not being in the picture – then they pop in? Beautiful scenery, looks sunny and gorgeous. Needed a lift this afternoon – news is starting to get a little uncomfortable.

Yup, that's just the way it is with teenage boys. They do make me laugh though.
I was reading the news about North and South Korea – have been thinking about you.

Oh, you must be doing something right, my kids always leapt or shrunk out of photos. "Yes, that's me, standing alone at the middle school graduation, I just like hanging around long boring un-airconditioned ceremonies because otherwise my life wouldn't have enough tedium. "

    • Trish Burgess Reply
      10/04/2013 at 2:17 pm

Haha!I think kids are naturally contrary, not wanting to pose when asked. Mind you, Rory has always been ok about it and was quite happy about me publishing this photo today.

It's a brilliant photo. Would be lovely without the photobomb, but photobomb makes it so much more. A happy teenage boy enjoying spending time with his parents?! Priceless. Just hope my boys will be the same at this age.

What a fantastic photo of the two of you. It is amazing that on a loch 14 miles long how that sailor managed to photobomb his yacht into your photo. I may be wrong but I'm guessing he did it inadvertently – but who knows?

Ha! Maybe Rory was shouting at his dad to quickly take the photo before the damn yachting photobomber came into shot.
