Tasty delights from the Computer Sweet

Trish Burgess Posted on23/02/201408/08/2016 Trish Takes Five 11 Comments

If you would like to read my column from Tuesday’s Lincolnshire Free Press, it is now online. It’s all about computers and food. Feel free to add your own suggestions to the newspaper’s website – I think it’s the type of article which benefits from more daft wordplay and I know some of you love that!

Cookies: stuff of IT dreams in class.

Very good, Trish. I enjoyed that, and the comments are good too.

The monitors are terribly high though!

It was a fair comment about the monitors though I'm sure the angle of the photo makes this look worse. I hadn't noticed this being a problem in the suite before, funnily enough. Will need to check when I'm there tomorrow.

Fondant is such a better word than font, isn't it?
Loved the clever column and comments! 🙂 xx

Fondant is quite onomatopoeic, isn't it. Something sweet and soft about the word.
Pleased you liked the column – great to get feedback x

Most disappointingly I fear you've already thought of all (and more) of the IT plays on words that come to my mind. I rarely admit defeat but have to put my hands up this time. *blank mind*

I think that's understandable, especially as I had been working on it for a fortnight before I wrote it, including googling cake terms and computer words for inspiration.
I bet you think of something weeks from now!

Very clever qwerty stuff indeed. Award yourself a star or three

I'm terrible at puns on the best of days, but I do appreciate them when others think of them! Clever post, and got a chuckle out of 'fondant'!!! I'm reading this just before bed, though, and think I'll have to get myself a snack before I turn in….; )
