That looks lovely, it must have been a bugger to put up though…
I agree – how unusual and decorative. But a bugger to align!
@Libby and @Sarah – Yes it was. I wanted to do it by eye but Dougie insisted on measurements. It got a bit heated at times 😉
How are they fastened up – I assume you haven't cemented them like tiles?
They look real great, by the way.
WOW they look fab! and I'm in awe of anyone who is so creative.
😉
They are beautiful I think it is fab to have art up in the house
@Troy – Ha, no, we used the hard wall picture hooks and a lot of swearing.
@Clippy Mat – Me too, I wouldn't know where to start. Fiona is very talented; I'm so pleased the exhibition went well for her.
@The Mad House – thanks Jen. We are firm believers of art on our walls; a lot of paintings and sculptures we have collected over the years are by local artists and I love the thought that they are originals, someone has put their heart and soul into their creation.
This does sound very intriguing…thansk for the tip-off!
Very nice! Coincidentally, I got a flyer for a new mosaic company put through my door yesterday. They do beautiful home decor mosaics to match your colours etc. Sadly, I don't really have an inch of wall space left.
@Steve – my pleasure.
@Expat Mum – I've just been reading your post about chucking stuff away you've not worn/used lately. Maybe you should do some de-cluttering of your walls: if you've not looked at a picture for six months, put it in a cupboard!
i have one of her mosaics at the house in Greece and some VERY posh Athenians stopped to admire it a few weeks ago. Yours are stunning, Trish and look fab.
@Sally – I bet your mosaic looks perfect there; just the right environment.
I still love the mosaic she helped the children create for the wall of the playground.
I really like that, it's lovely! I would have had to ask the artist to come and hang them for me though before I bought them, it would have taken me ages! Emma 🙂
Have just had a quick look at the website, I LOVE that hare mosaic!! Shame it's sold already 🙁
I have to say I was a bit apprehensive when I saw the title of your post as I have a frog phobia!!
Your gut feeling was absolutely right, these mosaics are stunning!
PS: hope you are not in so much pain anymore. xx
@Emma – in the gallery they were hanging on two wires which must have made it simpler! Glad you had a look on the website – I think she's putting more photos on there soon.
@Funky – I dont much like normal frogs either. Pleased you approve!
Neck much better now; shoulder still frozen but I expect that won't change for a few months yet. Not much pain, thankfully xx
