Just a few more Narnia photos to share with you. I sent a couple off to the local paper yesterday and they are going to publish one of them in a page of readers’ winter photos….which is nice!
Have done a big supermarket shop today and also been to the butcher, the baker, though unfortunately not the candlestick-maker. On my return at 1.30pm, Rory was still wandering around in his dressing gown, all gangly limbs and sticky-up hair. All the boy does this holiday is sleep. He helped me, of a fashion, put the shopping away and has now been sent for a shower and ordered to do some revision for GCSE science modules he has in January.
Later on we will have our daily dose of Countdown and, our favourite, Pointless. If anyone hasn’t seen the latter, it’s a quiz show where the aim is to find the most obscure answer. It’s presented by Alexander Armstong, 4.30pm, BBC2 and we love it. Some quality mum and son time, sharing the sofa and shouting at the telly.
I really love those photos. Let me know what pair of Assassins you are going to be for the fancy dress party. Sorry I didn't realize the theme was assassins although personally I think Mick murders R&B on a daily basis …. Merry Christmas!
Who would have thought a chain link fence could look beautiful?! Great pics – must dig my camera out too.
Emma – will let you know on the final decision. I loved your Mick Jagger suggestion: kept me chuckling. Have a great Christmas!
Make-do mum – It's actually a tennis court net: amazing isn't it!
Beautiful pictures. I've done the supermarket today, too. A battle field in Northumberland!!
CJ xx
Oh wow – that fence is amazing. I'll have to show the Queenager. That's the sort of thing she manages to come up with too – all arty farty!
We do that too – mum & son time watching Pointless!
Love the netting with the frost prongs on it… We really like Mr Armstrong in our house but Pointless seems to have passed us by!
CJ – I had to steel myself to get on with it. Still forgotten stuff.
Expat Mum – Well it's a net but I agree, it's pretty wild.
I like being arty farty every so often. Could do with learning a bit more about photography. I still just point and shoot.
Guinea pig mum – YEAH!! Glad we're not the only ones.
Steve – ooh you must. It passed me by initially but Mr A's dry wit is priceless, matched by the chap with the answers, Richard. Try and watch it and see what you think. It's a grower.
Lovely, though we got a massive dump of snow today so maybe I could appreciate it more if I wasn't living it hehehe. I must get my camera out and try because these are lovely. Well done on getting some published 🙂 Jen
Love the frosty snowy fingers, spikes and prongs. Congrats on having your photos accepted for publication!
I left my sons this morning languishing on the sofa wrapped in Slankets. They were all set for a busy time obviously.
Fantastic photos!! It is a shame this week's The Gallery theme is not winter!! I especially love the third one.
Jen – thankfully it's been frost rather than snow – our snow has been more like icing sugar.
Sarah – Slankets! Ha ha, that's really spoiling them. God love 'em.
Funky – I think it's the third one that might be in the paper.
I think there are some 'Countryfile Calendar' photo entries there. Excellent pics!
Oh these are just beautiful Trish!
